Helgi Björn Kristinsson
Helgi has extensive experience in sales and marketing, having been for the last 10 years in charge of sales and marketing for retail banking within one of the largest banks in Iceland focusing on both individuals as well as corporates. Furthermore, Helgi has a comprehensive hands-on experience from outside the banking industry; has worked as Chief Revenue Officer for the media conglomerate 365, been a sales manager for Toyota as well as having worked in market research and advisory for PwC. Helgi has a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Iceland and an MBA degree from the University of Reykjavik.

For the most part of his professional career, Josip has been in charge of the architecture and implementation of highly available IT solutions for enterprises. His skill set includes both strong technical background as well as core understanding of business domain. Josip’s previous work includes mission critical IT systems for The Vehicle Center of Croatia, Budget Rent-a-car, World Bank and many other respectful clients.“ Josip’s responsibility is to shape the company’s technology vision and resources.
Gudni has extensive experience in banking and finance in various capacities and joins us from Legal & General Group in UK, where he headed its Global Liquidity Management. Prior to joining Legal & General, Gudni was responsible for the asset-liability management of AIB, held management positions in Credit and Lehman Brothers, both in London in Frankfurt. Gudni also was a Group Treasurer for an Icelandic bank. He has an MBA degree from University of Cambridge and a degree in economics.
Katrin M. Guðjónsdóttir
Katrín has an MBA from the University of Iceland and a bachelors in graphic design and marketing. Katrín has an extensive background in marketing, management and strategic management. Katrín has worked as a marketing director at two oil companies, N1 and Skeljungur, as well as having been marketing manager for Innnes, Iceland’s leading importer and wholesaler. She has been involved in preparing two oil companies for stock exchange listing. It is our belief that her experience as a marketing manager in the consumer market for both oil companies and the product market will benefit us well in the future for our current products and new ones in the future.
FUNDING & RISK
Hrafn has 18 years of experience in asset management, trading and investment banking from Landsbanki, Kaupthing, Islandsbanki and the Icelandic state financial investments (ISFI). Hrafn has built and managed investment teams and investment products, such as mutual funds, investment funds, pension funds and has in-depth experience in valuing equities, bonds and other investment vehicles. 5 years as chief investment strategist and head of Islandsbanki’s portfolio management division. Hrafn has a Cand.oecon degree in finance and business from University of Iceland and an MBA degree from the University of Edinburgh Management School.

Sigríður Katrín Kristbjörnsdóttir
Sigríður is a certified public accountant and prior worked for Ernst & Young audit office for 8 years. She has excellent experience in financial management of Fin-Tech companies and since 2014 managed the financial structure of Inkasso collections and Faktoría claims funding. Sigríður has a bachelor´s degree in finance and master’s degree in accounting and auditing from Reykjavík University. In 2012 Sigríður gained a certification as a public accountant.
Þórir Örn Árnason
LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE
Þórir has an extensive business experience, and for the last 10 years he has been working as a director of debt collection at Íslandsbanki. Among his responsibilities as a director at the bank was debt collection, the bank’s real estate portfolio, financial restructuring for individuals and businesses and specific lending procedures. Þórir has a vast knowledge as a lawyer, but he was self-employed for 7 years before joining Íslandsbanki. In addition, he also worked for the tax authorities. Þórir graduated from the University of Iceland.
Dóra Lind Vigfúsdóttir
Dóra Lind has a bachelor‘s degree in English and an MBA from the University of Iceland. She‘s has years of experiance in consumer collection, maintaining service centers, hiring and training new team members and is an experianced leader. She is responsible for collection strategy and execution.
Þórir has over 15 years of experience in information technology and software development. Over those 15 years Þórir has worked for companies such as Iceland Telecom, IceConsult and Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration before joining Alva in 2012. Þórir has a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iceland. Þórir’s responsibility in Alva is to define and design technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.

Kjartan has over 15 years experience in information technology and banking as a CPO, Director, Senior Product Manager, Software Developer, Scrum Master and Team Lead. Prior he worked for Meniga, CCP and Íslandsbanki.
Guðjón Elmar Guðjónsson
SERVICE & MARKETING
Guðjón is an experienced marketer, having worked in marketing for 17 years both in the retail sector as well as technology sector. Guðjón has worked with companies like Playstation, Panasonic, Coca Cola, Sony and Next. He has a degree in business from Bifröst University as well as studied marketing at The Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Skorri Rafn Rafnsson
CHAIRMAN & GROUP CEO
Skorri Rafn Rafnsson is the Founder and CEO of Alva, the largest financial technology company in Iceland. Skorri has served as Chairman of the Board to Iceland’s various companies such as Heimkaup (Amazon of Iceland), Bland (Craigslist/Ebay of Iceland), Hópkaup (Groupon of Iceland) and various others. He has been the CEO of Iceland’s largest online retailer and online e-commerce market. He has served as CEO for both a software development as well as a credit technology company in Europe. He is now an experienced business investor with the ability to take start-up companies and transform them into successful thriving companies.
He is responsible for strategy development and implementation, business and product development, and investor relations.

Andri Valur Hrólfsson
Andri Valur has over 24 years financial industry experience, especially in payment solutions. Andri was managing director at Valitor (former Visa Iceland), responsible for all international business such as cross-border acquiring from 2003-2011. He joined Visa Iceland in 1993 as managing director of Visa Iceland’s domestic operations. Before joining Visa Iceland, Andri spent 27 years in the airline industry and was among other positions director of domestic operations of Icelandair. Currently he sits on the boards of various companies and his vast knowledge is a valuable asset for Alva.
